Apollo Tyres signs distribution partnership with CEVA Logistics to improve customer deliveries in France
Apollo Tyres has established a new distribution deal with leading logistics provider CEVA Logistics for the supply of tyres to customers in France.
Apollo Tyres began integrating CEVA Logistics into its supply chain in May; since then, the partnership has cut average lead times to under four days and improved the overall ordering and delivery experience for customers.
CEVA Logistics’ focus is on fulfilling orders of between six and 40 tyres, taking products from Apollo Tyres’ warehousing facilities in Enschede, the Netherlands. Larger Apollo orders will continue to be fulfilled by an existing, well-proven partner that typically collects from Apollo Tyres’ factory in Hungary.
To further improve supply chain efficiency, Apollo Tyres has implemented a comprehensive Transport ORDER Management system, which more accurately monitors deliveries and provides customers with real-time track-and-trace information. A dedicated customer care team is available via the Apollo Tyres delivery portal, to assist with enquiries and share updates.
John Nikhil Joy, Cluster Director Europe – Truck & Bus Tyres at Apollo Tyres, comments: “We’re driving excellence across our business and firmly believe that this collaboration with CEVA Logistics will ensure we are better able to meet growing demand for our TBR tyres across France, maximising satisfaction and loyalty among new and existing customers.”
New products on display at Solutrans
Apollo Tyres will showcase its new EnduRace RA 2 and EnduMile LHT tyres at Solutrans, France’s leading heavy and light commercial vehicle show, held in Lyon from 21 to 25 November. At booth 119 in Hall 3C, the company will also exhibit its popular EnduRace RT 2 truck trailer tyre range, which has recently been expanded with the introduction of a 385/55 size option.
Apollo Tyres’ EnduRace RA 2 truck tyre incorporates a new tread design and premium materials to deliver impressive levels of grip and handling, low rolling resistance and improved durability over the previous generation. Following feedback from medium- and long-distance hauliers, the result is a 5% increase in mileage, and a 10% improvement in both rolling resistance and traction. The tyre is able to perform in harsh conditions, such as snow, and is certified for use in severe weather with the ‘three-peak mountain snowflake’ mark.
To cater for Europe’s highly competitive long-haul trailer tyre market, Apollo Tyres is launching the all-new EnduMile LHT. The tyre becomes the company’s most durable and fuel-efficient truck-sector tyre to date, outperforming the best-selling products in the LHT segment, and is ‘A-rated’ for rolling resistance – an Apollo truck tyre first.
Also on display will be the EnduRace RT2, a trailer tyre that delivers superior standards of all-weather performance, rolling resistance, and enhanced mileage and durability. Despite its premium performance attributes, the tyre remains a highly cost-effective solution in an intensely competitive segment.
