BEAT welcomes Vredestein as a new partner

21-01-2022 Bicycles, Vredestein

From the 1st of January 2022 onwards, BEAT Cycling will ride Vredestein bicycle tyres and the brand will be visible on the team’s racing kit. This is what BEAT Cycling and Apollo Tyres, Vredestein’s parent company have agreed. Both parties are pleased with the collaboration and see many opportunities to create synergy.

The partnership is not something that came out of the blue. “We’ve been eyeing BEAT for a while now ,” says Thomas Mittendorff, Cluster Manager Two Wheel Tyres at Apollo Tyres. “BEAT suits us, it is a breeding ground for talent, they focus on performance and their approach is innovative, they already proved they can compete at the highest level. Passion, ambition and the courage to do things in their own way, differentiates BEAT from a traditional cycling team and that is exactly what appeals to us,” continues Mittendorff. “The fanatic BEAT community continues to grow and we see opportunities to develop special activations and promotions together. In 2022, for example, we will be launching a completely new Vredestein road tyre and BEAT is the first professional team to use it in the races. We are really looking forward to further develop our product range with the feedback and input from BEAT’s performance team, especially because BEAT is active in several disciplines such as road, gravel, MTB, track and even beach racing.

BEAT is proud that Vredestein has joined the club. “Vredestein is a brand of Dutch origin and one of the oldest tyre manufacturers in the world, with an illustrious history in the pro peloton when it comes to ‘high performance’ products. Especially in recent years they are making great strides in the bicycle industry. In addition to that, they are a well-known player in the world of car, agricultural and truck tyres”, explains team manager Geert Broekhuizen. “During the talks, we already got a lot of energy from the idea of working together on product development and on telling Vredestein’s story. We look forward to taking next steps in the coming years in the development of both BEAT Cycling and Vredestein”
