Agricultural equipment manufacturer SDF Group has selected Vredestein Traxion tyres as original equipment (OE) for its popular range of DEUTZ-FAHR Series 6 tractors.

From the first quarter of 2025, all DEUTZ-FAHR Series 6 models – including the 6160, 6170, 6180, 6190, 6210, 6230 and 6230HD as well as the 4 cylinder versions 6160.4 and 6170.4 – can feature four different combinations of Vredestein Traxion. The tyres will be available as a customer option across those Series 6 models equipped with Powershift, RCshift and TTV gearboxes and with power outputs ranging from 160 to 230 horsepower.

The initial tyre configurations include:

  • 710/70R38 171D TL and 600/65R28 154D TL Traxion XXL
  • 650/65R42 165D TL and 540/65R30 150D TL Traxion 65
  • 650/65R38 163D TL and 540/65R28 142D TL Traxion 65
  • 580/70R38 155D TL and 480/70R28 140D TL Traxion 70

“We are honoured that DEUTZ-FAHR has selected our Traxion tyres for its Series 6 tractors. This decision comes in response to the increased demand from contractors and farmers operating DEUTZ-FAHR tractors, who appreciate the value of Vredestein tyres,” said Laurence Bennett, Head Off-Highway Tyres at Apollo Tyres. “Our Traxion technology is designed to deliver superior performance, with enhanced traction, comfort and extended tyre life – all crucial factors for demanding agricultural work. This partnership reflects the strong reputation we’ve built in the market.”

The Vredestein Traxion features a curved lug design, with extra rubber in the centre for optimal on-road comfort and high wear resistance. The unique non-parallel lugs diverge towards the shoulder of the tread, providing additional traction and excellent self-cleaning capabilities in the field.

DEUTZ-FAHR announced the new Vredestein OE partnership with Apollo Tyres during the 2024 EIMA trade fair, held in Bologna, Italy.
