New flagship Vredestein Superpasso Pro Cotton maximises speed, control and response for competitive road cycling
Apollo Tyres Ltd has launched the Vredestein Superpasso Pro Cotton, an all-new road bicycle tyre developed for elite-level road racing and competitive time trials. Positioned as the new flagship of Vredestein’s road bicycle tyre range, it will be available in tubeless-ready and tube-type models in 28 mm and 30 mm sizes from August.
The Superpasso Pro Cotton features a premium-grade, high-density 320 TPI cotton casing, lightweight construction and advanced tread compound. Together, these support rapid acceleration, responsive handling and predictable cornering control. The supple and flexible casing also contributes to ride comfort and feedback from the road.
The tyre incorporates Apollo Tyres’ TriComp technology, which uses multiple rubber compounds across the tread and shoulders. A firmer central compound reduces rolling resistance and supports durability, while softer shoulder compounds enhance grip and cornering precision in wet and dry conditions.
The 30mm tubeless-ready variant achieves a rolling resistance measurement of 10 watts, representing a reduction of almost 29% compared with the Fortezza Senso Superiore predecessor. This means less of the rider’s power is lost, helping establish and maintain momentum more efficiently.

Available across Europe from August 2026, the Superpasso Pro Cotton will be offered in tubeless-ready and tube-type versions in 28-622 and 30-622 sizes, all featuring a black/tan colourway. Both tubeless-ready sizes are compatible with hookless rims.
